AC and other home appliances will break down repeatedly if you have these two things at home

AC Gas Leak: Does your AC leak gas frequently? If this problem persists despite servicing, there could be two major reasons behind it. Let us explain what could be the reasons behind the recurring gas leakage problem.

Electronic news

The demand for ACs increases in summers, and those who already have air conditioners installed in their homes start getting them serviced. But many times, people complain that even after getting the servicing done on time, why does the AC gas leak repeatedly?

You are spending thousands of rupees on filling gas in the AC again and again, but till now you have not been able to find out why the AC gas leaks every year or every few months. So, we are going to tell you two such major reasons which are the biggest enemies of ACs and cause rapid damage to your AC.

Did you know that certain things around your home can act as "slow poisons" for home appliances?

If you're constantly bothered by AC gas leaks or your refrigerator or washing machine malfunctioning, let's uncover the two things that can cause frequent electrical appliance failures.

Save on LPG! Don't let induction become your enemy; avoid these safety mistakes.

Explaining the science behind this issue, T. Swaminathan, a retired chemical engineering professor at IIT Madras, reported in the Economic Times that stagnant sewage releases hydrogen sulfide gas.

Hydrogen sulfide can react with moisture in the air to form sulfuric acid or other sulfur compounds. Over time, this gas reacts with the copper parts inside the air conditioner, causing corrosion and gas leaks.

The reason is an open drain

If you're surprised that your home appliances keep breaking down, but can't figure out why, the first reason could be a drain near your home. Drains are the biggest enemy of home appliances.

Some toxic gases emanate from drains and react quickly with copper.

Copper in AC pipes, washing machine PCBs, and refrigerator condensers can become blackened and rusty when exposed to these gases. Corrosion can cause tiny holes in the coils, allowing gas to escape repeatedly.

Sewage Treatment Plant

Just like drains, if there's a sewer plant near your home that isn't being properly managed, it could be causing a gas leak.

This gas can also cause air conditioners, refrigerators, and other home appliances to leak. This is because sewer plants also emit gases that can harm these appliances.
